Intellectual property is an important aspect of many businesses. We offer advice on how to protect and exploit your ideas, brands, designs and processes, and if appropriate, registration of your rights.
We also assist in taking all necessary action to prevent others from wrongfully exploiting your intellectual property rights. We will assist in to finding a commercially workable solution whilst at the same time offering excellent technical advice on the litigation process to ensure you have maximised your opportunity to achieve a swift conclusion with the minimum disruption to your business.
THE TEAM
The team is led by Estelle Dimelor who has considerable experience in IP litigation, supported by two London trained lawyers, one from a specialist media practice and one studying for her Post Graduate Diploma in Commercial Intellectual Property.
The non-contentious work is led by John Spratt, the senior partner and his assistant Catherine O'Riordan.
Principal areas of work include:
- Drafting of licences, assignments, manufacturing agreements franchise agreements, software agreements and confidentiality agreements
- Specialist advice on data protection
- Advice on e-commerce, website terms and conditions, domain name protection, disclaimer and privacy policies
- Intellectual property due diligence
- Advice on all aspects of confidentiality, advice on trade mark infringement actions, passing off, copyright, design rights, patents protection.
- Enforcement of all intellectual property rights in both the Chancery Division of the High Court and the Patents County Court.
- Advice on marketing and promotional projects
